I4Safe Migration Hub

The I4Safe Migration Hub Project is designed to provide holistic support and assistance to individuals affected by human trafficking, irregular migration, and forced displacement. Recognizing the diverse and intersecting challenges faced by survivors, the Migration Hub aims to offer a comprehensive range of services and interventions to address their immediate needs while also tackling the underlying factors contributing to their vulnerability. Through a combination of direct assistance, advocacy, and community engagement, the Migration Hub seeks to empower survivors, promote their rights, and contribute to their recovery, resilience, and reintegration.

Objectives:

1. Provide comprehensive support services to victims of human trafficking, irregular migration, and forced displacement, including shelter, healthcare, legal assistance, psychosocial support, and livelihood opportunities.

2. Address the root causes and risk factors associated with human trafficking, irregular migration, and forced displacement through advocacy, awareness-raising, and community-based interventions.

3. Strengthen partnerships and collaboration with government agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), civil society organizations, and other stakeholders to enhance intervention effectiveness and ensure the protection and empowerment of survivors in Nigeria.

Located strategically in Osun State, which shares boundaries with four other states – Oyo, Ekiti, Ondo, and Kwara – the I4Safe Migration Hub offers a prime opportunity for outreach efforts. Leveraging this location, we aim to extend our awareness programs to neighboring states, providing essential information about the activities of human traffickers and smugglers, empowering potential migrants from smaller cities to make informed decisions about their futures.
